The Samson Itodo Prize is a prestigious academic award established to honor and inspire excellence in the study of Human Rights and Constitutional Law. The prize is awarded annually to the best-performing students in each subject at the Faculty of Law, University of Jos.

This award is presented to the top student in Human Rights at the Faculty of Law, University of Jos, Samson Itodo’s alma mater. The prize recognizes academic distinction and a deep understanding of fundamental rights and freedoms. It aims to:

•⁠ ⁠Encourage civic consciousness and ethical leadership

2.⁠ ⁠Best Student in Constitutional Law
This award recognizes the most outstanding student in Constitutional Law at the University of Jos, where Samson Itodo earned his law degree. It is designed to:

•⁠ ⁠Inspire a new generation of legal minds committed to rule of law and democratic governance
•⁠ ⁠Promote critical engagement with Nigeria’s constitutional order

 

 

Each recipient receives a certificate of excellence, a cash prize to cover fees at the Nigerian Law school and fees at the University of Jos for the duration of their law degree program. Recipients and may be considered for mentorship or internship opportunities.
